Hola, I am Anibal Santaella
A bit about me
I bring together a rare mix of engineering discipline, endurance, and human connection. With a background in mechanical engineering and more than a decade of experience managing major infrastructure projects, I’ve built a career around delivering complex work with clarity, resilience, and care. That same mindset now shapes my role at Kallbad, where I help turn bold ideas into grounded, meaningful experiences.
Originally from Venezuela and now based in Scotland, I have been shaped by challenge, reinvention, and a deep commitment to growth. After building my early career in large-scale construction and project leadership, I went on to work across Bitcoin, education, and community-led initiatives, always drawn to spaces where people, ideas, and purpose meet. Across chapters, my strengths have remained consistent: calm leadership, practical problem-solving, and the ability to bring people together around what matters.
Movement and wellbeing are also central to who I am. I’m a dedicated endurance athlete, having completed seven marathons, including five World Marathon Majors, with a personal best of 2:42:40 in Boston, and I represent Scotland in tag rugby at national level. These experiences have shaped the way I work: with discipline, focus, and an appreciation for both performance and teamwork. They also reflect my interest in pushing physical and mental limits in ways that are challenging, purposeful, and rewarding. My connection to cold water, recovery, sport, and the outdoors is not just professional, it is personal, lived, and deeply felt. That lived experience brings authenticity to Kallbad and informs the kind of sauna and immersion experiences I want to create: safe, restorative, and genuinely transformative.
At Kallbad, I bring together operational leadership, a strong sense of adventure, and a belief in the positive impact of heat, cold, and community. From managing suppliers and budgets to shaping retreats and guiding experiences, I’m focused on building something with real substance, a place where people can reset, reconnect, and feel more alive.
